Frequently Asked Questions

Who should attend?

All students are welcome to attend, and you don't want to miss this opportunity if:

  • You are an aspiring engineer/technologist.
  • You want to learn about the current trends and innovations in the field.
  • You want to connect to the WiE network in Silicon Valley and beyond.

How many tickets are for sale?

We can sell a maximum of 400 tickets to currently enrolled students. Please get your tickets as soon as possible as they were sold out early for the 2018 WiE Conference.

I can’t afford a ticket, but I would still like to attend, what are my options?

Volunteer. Help out for part of the day and get access to the rest of the conference. Limited spaces are available. Please send an email to wie-engineering@sjsu.edu.

What companies will be there?

This is a learning, networking and community building event. More than 80 industry professionals from nearly 60 companies and organizations attended last year.

Should I bring my resume?

As a rule of thumb, you should never attend a potential networking activity without a copy of your resume. Throughout the conference, you will have opportunities to meet hiring managers and Human Resources professionals at workshops, career panels, and the Innovation Showcase and Networking Reception.

What is included in my registration?

Access to all conference sessions and activities, conference swag bag, continental breakfast, lunch, an Innovation Showcase, and Networking reception.

What is the refund policy?

If you paid for a ticket and are no longer able to attend, you may request a refund until February 15, 2019 by emailing wie-engineering@sjsu.edu. No refunds will be issued after February 15, 2019.
